Song of The Day: Aug. 1, 2023

Today’s song is the product of two legends that have passed. It comes from the iconic “MTV Unplugged” album from Nirvana in the 1990s and is the band’s cover of David Bowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World”.  This song has meaning today as we roll into August and the football season. It’s a reminder to stay true to ones self or you could become unrecognizable to yourself in time. That’s great advice for those of us who live these next few months every year as if it were our last. Don’t get too high or too low about your team or this crazy, unforgiving sport. It’s in many ways the most chaotic sport on the planet (college football), but also has the power to consume you if you let it. Trust me, I know. -JC Shurburtt
